Jaguar
In Mayan mythology, the Jaguar is as an elusive, powerful being. Shrouded in the night sky, he is the keeper of the Underworld in ancient Mexican, Central & South American culture.
My desire with this piece is to pay tribute to this incredible animal and it's rich cultural significance. I felt hand illustrating was the best approach to capturing the mystique and quiet strength that is the Jaguar.
